I transplanted a few of my cone flowers late fall last year because they were outgrowing their space. The transplants are doing great in their new spaces, but the existing ones are struggling a bit. I’m not sure why, but I do know some accidentally received a vinegar bath early in spring, mistaken by my husband as a common weed.

Todays’ vintage floral reminds me of my cone flowers in shape, style, and attitude — not color. (Although how awesome would it be to have blue cone flowers?!) I love this image as there’s something about it that reminds me of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. It’s the very definition of whimsical.
This image is about 7 x 11″ so it could be used as part of a signature or printed at a smaller size and included as embellishment or journaling card. I plan on fussy cutting a few of them and adding them to pages or other embellishments. I think its simple shape really lends itself to a good fussy cut.
