A few months back, I made a new junk journal using the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes Heritage papercraft line. I happened to have an old blue book that matched the blues in this paper perfectly.
I totally lucked out and purchased the paper and embellishments from Joann’s when it was significantly reduced. I did not alter the cover in any way because I loved it so much! I created two signatures that I bound in the book with twine.
I lined the inside front and back cover with this floral paper so reminiscent of a liberty fabric print. I adore it and the way it blends with the blue cover peeking through around the edges.
I included coffee-dyed printer paper, birthday cards, and illustrations intermixed with the Heritage line paper.
The back of the journal is untouched and is the same blue linen look as the cover.
I filmed a new Junk Journal With Me video on my YouTube channel if you’d like to see a closer inside look at the beginning pages. In the video, I chat about:changes to my junk journaling for the new year, different creative journaling strategies and tools I’m trying, as well as a new journaling approach. Check it out here:
I’m juggling a lot of projects right now, each so unique from each other, and I have to say it’s really sparking my daily creativity and inspiration. 🙂
Till next time,
