Mood Board Journal

Hi, friends! I can’t believe it’s almost September. Actually, I don’t want to believe it’s almost September. I love summer and if it were up to me, all summers (and flower pots stuffed with zinnias) would be endless.

But, alas, ’tis not the case. So to prepare for the inevitable September, I was disassembling my August mood board. It struck me how much I loved every single piece of paper, fabric, picture, and textile on it and I’d be nuts if I did not turn all of these gems into a late summer journal.

So that’s what I did. šŸ˜

It all came together so easily. I supplemented the existing papers with some coffee-dyed printer paper from my stash and a few Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes patterned scrapbook paper.

I also added a few vintage pages from a Vick’s Monthly Illustrated magazine circa 1893! I scored these a few summers ago at a flea market, but completely forgot about them until a recent random box rummage uncovered them again. (I scanned a few pages and created a new Etsy listing, if interested.)

I captured the process on video for my YouTube channel, if you want to see the entire journal fabrication:

Stay tuned for more JJWM’s using this journal. I can’t wait to get started.

Till next time,
