August Mood Board

Happy August! I am one of those people who will hold on to summer forever, so don’t start talking to me about crisp leaves, cozy night, and pumpkin spice because mama ain’t havin’ it. 😂

To help me focus on a specific aesthetic each month (and to guide my creativity), I’ve decided to create a monthly mood board in my studio.

A mood board is a type of visual presentation or a collage consisting of images, text, and samples of objects in a composition. It can be based upon a set topic or can be any material chosen at random. A mood board can be used to convey a general idea or feeling about a particular topic. (Wikipedia)

I try to use pictures, vintage illustrations, fabrics, and any other textiles (think dried flowers and wooden frames) to graphically depict my vision for the month. I want something inspiring and fresh.
