Hey friends! Today I am sharing a collection of DIY Valentine’s Day embellishments I made from all of those dusty, unused papers at the bottom of our Valentine’s Day craft bins. I used these embellishments in a Valentine’s Day mini-book I created from those same unloved papers.
I started by pulling out all of the ephemera and papers I wanted to use. Next, I created bases for my embellishments using Sizzix dies and hand punches. This provided the “background” for the embellishment. The rest is just a matter of trying all of the different elements together.
I used a tag punch as the base for these two embellishments along with staples and stickers.
I used a butterfly punch and sticker on this heart tree embellishment I had in my stash.
I used a top tag punch for these two embellishments with some phrase stickers and a teeny black heart punched from black paper.
I punched a circle out of paper and added this huge heart sticker left over from another project.
I absolutely adore this one, which is simply a paper heart with another ephemera to the middle.
