Inspiration hit the other night when I spied the cutest project on the Crate Paper Instagram feed. It was a little DIY calendar on a clipboard. This project was particularly inspiring for two reasons: I was in need of a calendar in my craft studio and I also had two 6 x 9 clipboards sitting in my craft stash, lonely and unused.
Not one to let a fun, crafty, and functional project slip through the cracks, I started working on it immediately. Before I do anything remotely crafty, I had to make the calendar templates. I thought I would offer them to you too! Download the 6 x 9 free calendar template now.
For February, I used some Crate Paper embellishments and paper, along with some tree stickers from my stash. I thought it would be super cute to add some clear sequins to emulate snowflakes.
March’s calendar foreshadows a fun Spring Break trip we have planned and uses some vintage-y travel elements from a bunch of travel collections.
April uses a vintage Easter postcard I printed and never used. I absolutely love the colors of this one! The wooden butterfly is from an old Target dollar spot sheet and pulls in the blue of the Crate Paper paper stash I used from the background. It’s the perfect mix of Easter and Spring!
These little calendars add a little special DIY touch to my craft studio! If you create a project with the calendars, post a picture with the hashtag #ginamakesitscalendar. I would love to see them! ♥
Till next time,
