Hey out there! Today I am sharing how I make my journal inserts for my traveler’s notebook.
It is such an easy process and so useful! I needed two notebooks for school and instead of lugging around two large coiled notebooks, I decided to make two additional inserts for my Jane Davenport traveler’s notebook I was already carrying with me.
For the cover, I used paper from a Jane Davenport paper pad and for the inside I just used some standard graph paper.
The dimensions for the cover of my insert measures 9.25 inches wide by 8 inches tall. So when it’s folded, it’s 4.625 inches wide by 8 inches tall. The inside pages measures .25 inches smaller in height and width, so all graph paper used inside will measure 9 inches wide by 7.75 inches tall.
After trimming the papers, I made holes using an awl and then bound the pages and cover together using a tapestry needle and twine. For a demo, check out my YouTube video:
After 15 minutes of work and using supplies I already had on-hand, I made a brand new set of notebooks ready for writing!
Till next time,
